Social Psychology

Social psychology is one of our additional subjects. Social psychology teaches the basics of the human needs and way of thinking. It teaches how people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others. This subject is very helpful to us aspiring architect as it helps us understand the human mind more and how toplease them. As our job equires that we make a design but to mostly please our customer, reading between the lines of what he is communicating to us so as to please him. As stated in the quote below we learned about how our mind and moral work in close relation to deem what is right or wrong and makes us act dutifully.

Below are the assignments for the whole semester which consisted in three projects.

“The pendulum of the mind oscillates between sense and nonsense, not between right and wrong.”

C.G. Jung

This journal, was an assignment which needed constant progression and update about the lectures and topic we learnt. We were asked to talk about our comprehension of the topic and to relate to it with any happenings or events of our own experience.

We were required to discuss about 6 topics.

All of the 6 topics are included in the slideshare.

Project One

Journal

This assignment consisted of two parts. Firstly, we were required to form groups of between 4 to 5 students and conduct a social psychology research experiment. Later, we would be required to do a presentation. The topic we chose for our research experiment was Interpersonal Attraction.

We were required to come up with a survey, then a report.

Finally presenting our results and conclusions to our peers and lecturer.
