English 2

English is one of our core subject which teaches us about the ins and outs of the beautiful english language. The subject was taught by our very patient teacher, on two days every week, It consisted of a tutorial followed by a lecture. As the saying goes: ❝The limits of my language are the limits of my world.❞ by Ludwig Wittgenstein, it would be a shame to limit ourselves to just knowing one language. This subject helped me perfect my English, which was a real plus to me as I am studying abroad. Knowing the English language is erasing the barrier between me, my lecturers and my peers.

Below are the assignments for the whole semester which consisted in three projects.

For this assignment, we had to take any tool of our choice and explore it and discover it again by using our 5 senses. Thereafter the task was to write a descriptive essay to relate our experience.

For this assignment, we had to take any two movies of our choice provided that it was of the same genre and compare the two movies. This way we explored the different expressions to differentiate our projects in the future.Discovering new ways to explain ourselves yet point out and make the contrast between two things.

For this assignment, we were to form a group of 7 students but due to the timing we had to manage as we were only 3 students in the group. Nonetheless, my fellow group members and myself, went all out and did the maximum we could to equal the others or even top them.

The businesses that we chose were about sweet things such as bakeries and chocolate.

This assignment helped me in other subjects such as Design Visualisation as it required that I could describe an object which was exactly what we had to do when presenting a model to the jury.

This assignment was very helpful as it facilitated my work in other subjects such as Culture and Civilisation as it required that we compared the civilisation of today and yesterday.

This assignment taught all three of us to work closely as it was on a strict deadline. It helped strengthen the bond between us three and to prioritze and categorise the work.
